For each provider, monthly cost = GB × that provider’s flat $/GB-month from our rates file for the listed storage class and region. Yearly cost = monthly × 12. Bar widths scale to the most expensive monthly cost in the set. “Cheapest” is among these providers only, for storage capacity cost only.

Backblaze B2
Often the lowest storage $/GB in this comparison. A strong fit for backups, archives, and cost-sensitive bulk object storage when your egress and API patterns work well with B2.
Cloudflare R2
Designed for zero egress fees to Cloudflare’s network. A strong fit when your app already runs on Workers or the Cloudflare CDN, or you want object storage close to edge compute.
AWS S3 Standard
Deepest AWS ecosystem (IAM, Lambda, Athena, and related services). A strong fit when you need specific regions or compliance options, or when integration with AWS matters more than the lowest storage-only rate.

What do Good, Strong, and Best mean?
Those labels appear in the Strengths (editorial) matrix. They are curated orientation ratings for reliability, availability, scalability, read/write performance, and ecosystem fit — not SLAs, uptime guarantees, or measured benchmarks. They are separate from the ★ cheapest cost row.
